i dont agree with that. i wont argue that the more expensive wheels are better. i will say that i will never buy a set of them because i would rather rock rotas. 500 dorra for all the wheels is very nice.freakchris03;71133 wrote:amen sir. Wheels are wheels who gives a fuck.

Who said you have to spend $2000 to buy better wheels then Rotas? I proved that to you last night. Remember how much those TE37's on Memory Fab were?soundqjr;71130 wrote:+1 I love my rotas and honestly I cant spend 2000 on wheels when I can spend 700 and then spend the other 1300 and go faster lol.

...if that is infact 2 years old, then it's excusable... It is pretty well documented that Rota had a lot of quality issues early on, but they have turned around alot... I mean, with all of the hondas/subarus/(sentras?) rolling around on rotas, if they still had major quality issues, there would be pics like this popping up all over the place.
This post comes with a guarantee: I guarantee that I don't care what you think about it.

Thats where you have to look into why the some are so expensive. Is it because of the name, the way they are made, or the type of metal used. All of which play a factor in price. If I had the money, I would get a more expensive rim over the ones I have now if certain criteria were met.636SpecMan;71135 wrote:i dont agree with that. i wont argue that the more expensive wheels are better. i will say that i will never buy a set of them because i would rather rock rotas. 500 dorra for all the wheels is very nice.

Ok but still more than I want to pay, yea I would some TE37s but I doubt I will buy some. I just don't see the point of "real" wheels I mean WTF are Rotas plastic? The only thing is that your paying for a fucking name thats so uber JDM cool. But some are made better and some are lighter but whatever my rotas haven't let me down yet.SilverStreak;71136 wrote:Who said you have to spend $2000 to buy better wheels then Rotas? but you can spend $100s of dollars on stickers. making your car looks good(painting it) As well as wasting money on LIPs, CF spoiler, stereo equiptment, etc. All that could be spend making you car faster as well.

See it is all in matter of opinion, bc I like those things and they helped the car as well. But not just one certain thing. I see your point though, but one day I MIGHT buy real wheels but thats when and if I ever get my car painted and my debt paid of lol.andyjt;71146 wrote:but you can spend $100s of dollars on stickers. making your car looks good(painting it) As well as wasting money on LIPs, CF spoiler, stereo equiptment, etc. All that could be spend making you car faster as well.

Ditto.
Expensive wheels are usually forged, not cast like less expensive wheels.
Think of pistons. A set of casts are usually less than $200. A decent set of forged are usually $500 min.

In essence an expensive wheel makes you quarter mile acceleration fastersoundqjr;71147 wrote:See it is all in matter of opinion, bc I like those things and they helped the car as well. 20lb wheel requires less effort/ torque to spin a 40lb wheel.

I guess no one can see all the mud and dirt on the tire. My guess is the driver went off road (either track or street), and the spokes broke off the barrel. I've seen oem wheels break like this because of going off road, and the are susposed to be tuff and last the life of the vehicle.SilverStreak;71096 wrote:
