i don't know 'bout a house..but for apartments, if that's your last resort, the ones next to mine are around $600 a month...2 bedrooms, pool, and whatever else..obviously no garage and if you work on it in the parking lot, you get the cops called on you...i wouldn't recommend it, can't wait 'till i move out

I'd also vote for the house. But with a house come maintaining it too. Not to mention the market is in deep shit right now. But foreclosures are out the ass. I would try buying a foreclosed home and remodel/update a bit. That way when the market comes back you can make some dough and buy something even nicer with alot of cash down, which equals a lower rate and payment on the next loan. Be smart with your money and you will get ahead. I used to be a Mortage Loan officer, my brother-in-law owns a Real Estate Co. and a Mortgage Co. so if you have any questions I can either help or I can point you in the right direction. Either way, renting is a waste of time and a hassle. The only person I would recommend renting to would be someone who is only going to be in a particular area temporarily. Just remember, a home is always a great investment in countless ways. Let me know if you have any questions. Or....... piss your hard earned money into someone elses urinal.

we are getting ready to move out of our house and we will be renting it it has a garage i think my dad wants a $1000 a month for rent it has 2 baths and a unfinshed bathroom downsatiars and 3 rooms up stairs and 2 down stairs. just an idea

Just find some cheap house & buy it. Then rent it after your buy a new home in a year.
