me + jackhammer = carnage :)

we have a big ass piece of concrete on the side of the garage, it's like a landing or somethin for the outside side door on the garage... it is about 5'x5'x18'', i tried other things to break it up but nothing was working, so i was talkin to a friend about it and he mentioned he had a real industrial electric jackhammer, i didnt ask to borrow it because i thought it would have been rude of me to do... anyway, he later offered to loan it to me and i went and got it yesterday... damn, this thing weighs about 100 pounds but it does kick some serious ass... here are some pics, i didnt take any before pics but i think you will get the idea... i still have about a third left to break up then we can have someone haul it away... (any volunteers to help get rid of it

there preety cool, one of my nehbors brought me a beer... i had to take a break then...lol

i only did it for 2.5-3hours, i stopped at 7:30pm...

that sir is a thick piece of concrete. If you love the electric hammers you would cream yourself if you used an air hammer. I do this stuff all the time for my dads concrete company and I know how sweet these things are. Congrats on getting it broke up.

we going to put a much much smaller set of steps, like one of those preformed 2 step deals...

ya, that concrete is thick as hell... i cant wait to get this done... my arms aren't to bad yet, i still have another hour or so of hammering to do then it should just a matter of cleaning up and hauling away...

The last time I tried using a jack hammer, I had just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled. To say the least it didn't last long. Props to you for going at it though. That shit sucks balls.
