"Shelor said there was no evidence of drag racing or "drifting" in Sunday's wreck."... Wayne Shelor, a spokesman for the Clearwater police in Clearwater, Florida.

So maybe thats just a rumor, the police are not citing it as anything more than an accident per the Clearwater Pd Rep.

Beyond all, I hope everyone comes out ok with no lasting injuries... best wishes to them.

are you for real? how about it's a risk NO MATTER WHERE YOU RACE.

I may be a bitch, but damn that's just heartless. Majority of car enthusiasts have a "need for speed", and we've all been guilty of racing at some point. It's a deadly, expensive hobby, but for Christ's sake I'd still have sympathy for someone if they wrecked.

No he was racing a Viper. There were many callers on the MJ show in Tampa that saw him and the Viper racing Sunday. And many more who said they saw him at different times over the weekend racing. That is what the track is for...... racing!!!

That sucks for him but just because he think's he can be a bad ass in his sponsered viper doesn't give him the right to destroy one of the baddest supra's ever...Anyone who has seen the big supra video will know the green beast I speak of, other then that I don't feel sorry for him at all. The passenger maybe but then again he could also be part of the reason the crash happened.

*EDIT*

I just watched the video on it and seen it wasn't the green supra, it was some yellow one so that makes me feel better.

Well I dont care for MJ, his show, or his callers so I could care less what they think they saw or claim to have seen... and if sooo many people saw it supposedly then how did none of the witness's the police talked to see it (yet they saw the wreck) or evidence of such.

As I quoted, as far as the police are concerned at this point he was not racing... they talked to the witness's and looked at the crash site for evidence of it... they did not find anything crediable to suggest that he was as of current. They may change that... we shall see... I just am trying to have some compasion for the kid and passenger... yet I am getting sidetracked by this debate which does not matter to me honestly. I simply pointed out what was being reported.

My meaningless 2 cents... the MJ show is hardly reliable source of any kind of information imo so I will stick to what the Police finding in the matter is... not some shit ass radio talk show looking for big ratings by putting people on the radio to create drama/ contraversy. Those callers just want their 5 minutes of fame as far as I am concerned, they are no different than any others who say they saw whatever when it comes to a dramatic celeb sitaution that gets media attention... and I will not jump to any other conclusions until there is proof otherwise.

Godspeed to Nick and the passenger... I hope they are ok and recover fully.

there was a SuperStreet article with both of the cars featured last year or so, his dad's was really cool, it had a 4 speed powerglide in it too.
