Anyone know a thing or 2 about the ZC?

Within the next week or so, my car should be seein the paint booth. After she's all painted im gonna be droppin in the Re-built ZC... Now...I have the complete motor assembled, but i have a f*ck ton of brackets and stuff layin in a big pile and I know im gonna bump into a huge headache when i attempt droppin in the EG. If ANYONE has any detailed pics of their swap, that'd be greatly appreciated. Ive been all over TheZCR.com and cant find sh*t really. Heck Im a little over an hour from the Lou, so if Anyone's down to journey up to Springfield to aid and throw in a hand, i wouldnt turn down extra help. . . . Either way, this car's been down since last july and it's gotta get done. Any help/suggestions (other than lighting it on fire) would be appreciated. Thanks:smashfreakB:

It will bolt up exactly like the stock D-series, Theres a bit of wireing mods to do but thats really it. I don't get what other brackets your talking about.

first off, they are many different ZCs, which one do you have? SOHC VTEC ZC, SOHC non-VTEC ZC or the DOHC ZC?

As far as the brackets go they should all be fairly simple unless you have a bunch of extras thrown into the mix that will throw you off. My assembled ZC doesn't have the normal brackets on it anymore (power steering, A/C, Intake support) but i can definitely tell you where yours need to go. Just post up some pics of what your lost about and i can show you where they should go, if you even need them. I'll head over to my bro's house and take pics of the brackets i took off of my OBD1 if necessary.
now you say this is going into an EG, are you certain you have an OBD1 ZC? check the ID tag on he front of the block, does the serial number under the "ZC" stamp start with a 3? oh and if you need it i have a good section of a ZC wiring harness from a EG if needed

It's a DOHC ZC and the kid i bought it off of had it in his 95 hatch, so i know it'll work. he gave me his wiring harness and everything needed., i just had some of the motor re-machined and some new internals thrown in, thats why im left with a bunch of little shit layin around. I'll figure it out though. . . i think i just got some of the old d15 parts tossed into the mix and need to figure out which is which. I'll PM ya if i need help or anything. thnks

sounds good, what kind of internals did you throw in?

the block was actually rebuilt when i picked up the motor from my friend. it was all OE spec shit except .20 over pistons....that's what the guy at the machine shop told me when i took the cylinder head in. As far as the head goes, everything is brand new except the cams. then forked out the extra money to have a mild port job done, thats really about it. bottom line is, im not tryin to get too overwhelmed and spend a shit ton of money on a ZC. Im just throwin this thing in and then turboing it this winter with a 14b and pushin only 7 pounds so i can have a half-way quick daily driver, yet reliable at the same time.
