Had short shift it cause my tires were blowing off in first gear and part of second but it does that on the street, but all I have is a clutch and flywheel and cai. But then again I am 300lbs lighter then him, but his car should be full out with a 2.3 60 foot a mid 14's car. Also if his new exhaust setup is stainless then its alot lighter then the stock exhaust that was on there which would be better and it disapate's heat faster. If I was him I would take the header off and wrap it so the engine bay stays cool and keeps the exhaust temps in the wrap cause that helps out alot.
how come you shifted at 71 and 73. i shift at like 8 or 81.

i think everyone needs to face the facts that hondas were not meant to be drag cars. if you want good times on the strip, you are going to have to spend some money either high comp, or high boost to get some good numbers. its not a big secret.

How are you 300lbs. lighter?

89 CRX Si - 2138lbs.
91 CRX Si - 2174lbs.

2174-2138=36lbs.

So, right off the bat, your 36lbs. lighter, then your interior is partially stripped.

The rear seats, carpet, sound deadening, trim panels, and headliner weigh 114lbs. in a 5th gen hatch.

Then, a B16A is about 10lbs. heavier then a D16A6, so your car at the very least weighs 1998lbs.

2174-1998=176lbs., not 300lbs.

Just stating facts...

different cars react in different ways to bolt ons. with hondas, it basically does nothing, with other cars bolt ons can easily double your horsepower...

For one I'm gutted quite a bit in the back hatch and some other places, for 2 Rickles told me the 91 crx si weights 2400lbs or 2300lbs and stock mine weights 2175lbs. I was just going by what me and rickles talked about last night.

Things that make a difference...

Weight of the car, size of the motor, forced induction, tranny gearing, ect. such things can make alot to a little difference on certain cars.
I'm still a neighborhood ASSHOLE!

i do recall saying that i couldnt remember for sure and guessed that your car may weigh around that. but where i came up with the difference of about 300 lbs was because i was thinking of the differences in weight between a 88 hf and a 91 si. sorry about the misinformation and in the future, i will be sure to double check on my numbers before stating any.

hell you can even go from twin screw to a single turbo, and make a lot more power also, i think hondas make better autoX cars then drag cars,
