Frank leta is tryin to f*** me

we bought our si from frank leta we noticed the car had dark tint but we were thinking that maybe the black interior. well endin up we got pulled over and it is 5% all around. well we tell them and the say they weill take care of it. but when my wife takes the car up there.... the say they will take off the illegal tint and thats it. they said they wont replace that. im thinking that maybe i should ask them how it passed their inspection.

Well honestly man all they should have done is take off the 5% before selling it. I dont really think there is anything you can do to make them put new tint on if that what you want.

if the vehicle was sold as a used vehicle, then yes its his fault, if it was brand new and requested to have the windows tinted by the dealership, then yes its still his fault

when dealerships and shops do state inspection its SAFETY meaning they do not check window tint. they make sure the car is safe to drive on the roads and thats it, the window tint is your responsibility. Look at it this way you buy a car and then as your leaving the dealership you pull out in front of somebody who's fault is it? the dealership for selling you the car or yours for not being able to drive?

This is the ONLY way to view the issue. Sorry but nobody is getting screwed you just happened to find a cop that bored.

lol yeah i see everyones point but also they were advertising the tint, so i just figured they would replace it considering that was a "perk" to buying this car. but i will just have to see if they will do it or not they have treated us well so far even gave us to new tires and they arent cheap for 18's. or we got pulled over in foristell, they will pull you over if you look at them they are so bored.

It's not their fault YOU were DRIVING with ILLEGAL tint. Even if it were a 'perk.'

says you must have at least 35% tint for the front side windows and any for the back side windows and any for the back. So i dont see how frank leta tried to "f" you. its more like the person who traded in the car is the one who "f'd" you. It is not the dealerships responsibility to take tint off of a car when it comes in as a trade-in.
