wheels rubbing

Post by CourtesyFlush »

so got 16x7.5 wheels and they are rubbing on my drop. they r not even tire tucking, but every bump or turn, it smells like burnt rubber and r rubbing like crazy. Any simple plan of fixing it? Should i just let it rub the surface off? im sure everyone else with larger than stock tires and a drop has had to deal with this. suggestions please. thanks

What size tires are you running? Depending on where it's rubbing at, most likely it can be fixed with a fender rolling or BFH.

Ignore the second part, the tires are your problem. You have the wrong tire size. You need a 205/45-16 tire. You won't need a fender roller or Big Fucking Hammer once you fix that problem.

i think he's right. you have too much tire. with a 15" i would expect to run a 205/55 , but not with a 16", 205/45 should be a lot better.
