Big Thanks to Rob, Chris, Andy, and Steve

Post by Silver Knight »

I'd like to thank Rob, Chris, Andy, and Steve for taking the time to help yesterday on installing a clutch on my car. We took apart the tranny yesterday and put the clutch in that Andy had given me (thanks a whole bunch!!!!) The only problem we ran into was with the shift linkage :PDT_Armataz_01_33: . Other than that the install went great and the car shifts like a hot knife through butter!

So again, Thanks a lot guys!!!

Chris has photos of the old clutch.. hehe

What kind of clutch did you end up putting in there?

Glad to see you're up and running again Allex.

Ok tranny is out so whats the damage

ok so basically on of the spring retainer pieces on the clutch plate broke and only 1/2 of the clutch was engaging and disengaging resulting in the uneven wear of the clutch and pressure plate.

so they swapped the clutch and re installed the tranny, bleed the clutch slave cylinder and filled the tranny up with new fluid and there you go one swapped clutch and one happy camper
