Just bought a bike

Post by STLracerX »

Well...After having very badluck looking at bikes under $3,000, I decided that I would just go to West County PowerSports and buy a bike. I figured, I can either get a 12+ year old bike with 10k+ miles with cracked fairings and scratches, or I can buy an '07 Ninja 250R that I can learn on and sell it when I'm ready for something bigger. Normally, I wouldn't even consider anything less than 500cc but within my budget, this is what I could afford for something that's reliable. Plus, the 70mpg really sold me on it. It's basically the same size as the 500cc, just not a lot of power. I know this thing is dirt slow and I don't want anything fast. Not ready for that yet. It'll definately get up and go. I just want to learn the basics and get very comfortable at a beginner's level. But, if you care to see what I got, I bought an '07 Ninja 250R. I bought it in the Omega Black. It's supposed to come in tomorrow and if not, Saturday. Plus insurance rates will be pretty cheap because of the cc and since I paid cash for it. I really don't think I'm gettin full coverage. Anyways, here's the link.

absolutely stupid of you to buy that new of a bike for a first bike. you WILL drop it, and it WILL get knocked over.

i can't tell you how many asshole's on ISU's campus would tip my bike, along w/ others over just bc it's "funny" to see ppl, esp girls try to pick up a bike.

you could've EASILY found an older bike w/out problems.

and by chance, who helped you at WCPS? I've got a friend who works up there.

be safe, be smarter than everyone around you, practice your stupidity where no one else is, and learn to lean. good luck.

I think if I seen someone knock over a bike and laugh, they'd end up having a bad day indeed. and I'm not even a bike owner, it just plain disrespectful...
