the custom clutch would be a custom spec'd clutch to meet the demands of an 850 hp motor, i personally dont know of any manufacturers that offer a 700(without nitrous)-800(for nitrous) lbs/ft resistive clutch for the k-series. But since its being built as a competitive drag car only i'll probably go with the 2-speed drag auto.
Speakin about the small block chevy, thats all fun and all, but i mean seriously how many times in a week do you see a small block chevy thats built to all hell pushing out 800+ hp? Exactly, all the damn time! This is something that i want to do because as far as i know nobody in saint louis has a 8-9 second k24 ej8 civic. I mean shit if i just wanted a balls-ass-fast car i would just go get another '84 or '85 Rx7, swap a 302, 351w, or a 350 into it, with a dart block etc and very easily be into the 8's or 9's. Which actually now that i think about it sounds alot cheaper! lol! I dunno we'll see what happens over the next 4 months as i start compiling parts.

90% of Honda drivers are ricers, 5% are idiots, 5% are tuners... 100% are broke.

I think a TT SBC would be a bitchin budget racecar for sure though, i think if i had the oppurtunity to get a free shell thats what i would do

Thats because you could spend 15k trying to do it with a K24 or you could spend less than half that with a sbc or a sbf for that matter. If you have very deep pockets and lots of patience by all means go for the Honda motor.shinigami;42546 wrote:Speakin about the small block chevy, thats all fun and all, but i mean seriously how many times in a week do you see a small block chevy thats built to all hell pushing out 800+ hp?
