S2000 Push Start
So I'm thinking about buying an S2000 Push Start for my car. I found a wiring diagram and am thinking about putting one in. Anyone have any experience with these? I am a little weary since I have remote start (thanks to N2HIFI)
, and am wondering if it'll then start without a key...which I do not want.

I am. I'm still thinking it's going to be about another 2 months till I sell it. I know it doesn't make much sense me investing more money into it. I just always wanted to have a push start. I'm hoping I get it out of my system since I may never own a Honda after this :/

depends on how you wire it, i'm assuming it'd be like this: insert key, set to on, press start button. done.

how different would that be from just turning the ignition key all the way over? I know on the C6 vette, you just have to have the key inside the car and it'll start with the push button, I dont know if thats the same on the S200. From what I know, push button ignitions are hard as hell to install because if you dont do it right, it'll fry your ecu.JonDubya;38809 wrote:depends on how you wire it, i'm assuming it'd be like this: insert key, set to on, press start button. done.

You don't know what you're talking about. You're not very smart, and the things you're saying are nonsense. And I'm not angry. But you do need to shut up.

those key fobs has transmitters that do the same thing as sticking the key in and turning it to on. I drove Tom's s2k when he had it and that's what I had to do to start it.Potts1;38816 wrote:how different would that be from just turning the ignition key all the way over? Yeah...do you really need push button when you have remote? technically, they're both push button starts.Potts1;38826 wrote:I see, well, I think he should just stick to the remote start then. BUt thats just me
