Rice is a fad, clean and functional will never fade away.

true but I mean buying actual jdm parts is a fad. I ca buy Rotas and it be functional. I can buy Megan racing spoiler(which I did) and it looks good. My point is you dont need to spend big money on JDM parts for the car to look good and be functional. My problem is I like car audio more than racing. I have been car audio and we daily drove our car that was in magazines. Im all abut functional for daily driving and making it look good.

This is true. There are definitely a lot parts from companies that are not Japanese that deliver in both quality and price. But like Rota and a lot of other companies, they still take there styling from Jspek companies. Even though they are Rotas or Megan the style is still Japanese.

Going for the JDM look is fine and all, but when you have to make decisions like choosing between Rota's or Volks... you have to ask yourself, "Am i trying to go for functionality and performance or am i planning to win a car show later this summer too?"
