Eh...eg?

Ok are the 5th gen hatchbacks consider Eh's or EG's. I hear people call them EG's but according to what i am reading the EG8/9 is for the sedans only and the EH2/3 is for the hatchbacks.

Can someone clarify this for me?

The JDM model carries the chassis code EG in it's vin, and the USDM carries the chassis code EH in it's vin. Some people call the USDM 92-95 hatch an EG when in reality it isn't. To me, it really doesn't matter though.

A civic hb like mine is a EH2 a SI is EH3 and sedan is a EG8 and a coupe is an EJ1 oe EJ2. In JDM land there all EGs.

The '92-'95 Civic hatchbacks are EH2, JDM they are EG6 or 9...

Doesn't matter to me...

Similar to my model hatch... Here they are EJ6, but I refer to mine as a EK4... since it now has the B16A

just go what it says on your VIN, don't list it by what engine it has or another countries equivalent. thats what makes it confusing

I call it an EK4 to have fun... Not many people know about the EK4, pretty much just the EK9 (Civic Type R)... Otherwise people for my model refer to them as EK's... that works for me too...
