Good shop?

Post by JZO6ETR »

Was wondering what good "Honda" shops are in the stl area that are good with wiring,a buddy of mine just did an enigine swap in his rex,"zc twin cam":jester2: and for some reason it won't go above 35 mph and he thinks it's the wiring,or some shit. Anyways let me know of any reputable shops if there are any!
Thanks, John

If I was you I would detail it down, it's easy to say wireing problem but what ECU did he use and did he have to convert from DPFI to MPFI. Did he use the stock zc distributer or did he try to use another one from a OBD-0 motor, also was the zc OBD-0 or OBD-1 and who did the conversion.

Need more details cause seriously if the cars rough idleing and stuff thats a common wireing mistake on the zc that I have found online when searching and only going to 35mph is a new one to me but find out some things and I would prolly goto someone like Chris "N2hifi" he might be able to help him but he's really busy right now with like 4 other cars.

none. at least none that will be really knowledgable about wiring for a zc swap.
post more info like suggested, we are your best bet for troubleshooting the problem.

lemme guess there is a 3,000rpm cutout right? there are a few shops but the yare all hole in the wall places. The fastest way to get stuff done is to recruit the help and services of members on the board

Seems like it's really backed up lately.

Rob's four door, Allex's LS/VTEC conversion, your tune-up+clutch, my motor swap, Steph's body work, Josh's turbo woes, and the various projects that Chris has been working on...
