What got you into Honda's?

It started for me back in 98, 99. A freind gave me a copy of SS with LJs EG hatch in it. But then I meet a guy at my job at the time who was really into wheeling, so I got a jeep and the honda bug that bite me went into remission. Then sometime in 01 I decided to sell the jeep, and get a hatch. At that time I started to frequent FF-squad and honda-tech, I just loved the clean straight forward look of the ffs cars. No frill, that is what I liked about their style, esp at a time when bold was the norm. My first hatch was a huge learning experience, and I have had 2, one of which I still own since then. 6 years later... Here I am. Well I can't really leave out the early days, ez-board and on, of STLSR. I made some freinds from that place, many of which I still talk to today. Damn time flies.

Honestly Fast and Furious probably got me in to imports, and then goin up to lindbergh and seein the Honda's. But most of all my buddy Rick has aided in my love of Hondas.

my bro had 3 different hondas before he got his 99 si. i really liked his si and i wish i bought it when he had to sell it. then he bought the sol and we had plans but never followed em. i bought the car from him to paint it then sell it but after driving it for a while i wanted to upgrade a few things :icon_biggrin: and now i dont ever see myself getting rid of it.

When my parents wouldn't let me buy a G body, I bought a friend's CRX. that damn car got me hooked.

back in the spring of 92, my dad called me one night and told me "hey Eric, i bought a new car". I was kinda suprised, but I remember that his 1987 Nissan Sentra wagon was giving him problems. He traded in the wagon and picked me up in the 92 LX sedan 5sp the same night. He told me "this is the best car i have ever driven". He was hooked! through 1992-1996, we took a ton of trips in the car. I ended up getting a 1988 Civic LX as my first car in 1995. I have to admit, i HATED that car-it was baby blue and had some rust on the quarters. I used to beat the shit out of that thing and nothing would go wrong with it. I ended up selling it for what i paid for it about a year later. Thats what brought me to buy a 1988 Honda Prelude SI 4ws. Then, I was HOOKED! I loved that car more than life itself. It became a total "money pit", but it made me happy. I fixed it up to OEM stock (exhaust, new paint with rust fix) and babied that car for 40k miles. In 2000, the car started to look sour again with rust coming back. I said no more and got rid of the car. I ended up getting the 92 accord at about 110k miles and drove that for almost 5 years. I traded it with 210k miles.

Since then, i bought a 2005 Civic SI, which i crashed. Now, I own a 2006 RSX-S and a 1994 Accord EX.

Im sold for life with honda!

I couldnt afford any american muscle for my first car.

My parents started buying hondas and the only car they would co sign a loan for me had to be a honda or toyota.. didnt understand why at the time other then it was slow and cheaper on insurance.

So my first car was a 96 ek ex coupe with 77,000miles; never had to replace anything mechanical not even the clutch, NOT ONCE!!.. It couldnt be killed no matter how much abuse I threw at it WHICH WAS ALOTTT. I learned to drive a stick with it and even taught a few friends. The car took me every and anywhere i wanted to go and i never once was worried that it "wouldnt make the trip" or break down. It was slow but looked good, sounded good and was fun to drive.. Everything a car should be.. I started getting into the forums during highschool and have been with sites like honda-tech, superhonda, and hondahookup since they began.

They are easy to work on and learn on for that matter. I have had 4 other civics since then ranging from stock to heavily modified 400hp creations. Each civic i have owned has had a certain sentimental value to it that cannot be replaced by a mustang or camaro.

I just wish i had enough money to have a turbo s2000 or nsx. I will always love honda more then any other car company

my friends 92 cx hatch got me into hondas lol it was slow as hell but it was fun to play with and that thing never broke we just beet the hell out of it too. Then when i started seeing civics beat mustangs and muscle cars that was one part that made me love them then i love the looks of them even the riced out ones at first!!

Super Street seeing Jay's integra and his eg. Then met Randy and things went downhill from their. Never had enough money to get one b.c I had to save up for college. Got out of it for a while then got bit by the bug again and bought a subaru then started to get board with it and the car payments sucked. Sold it bought a ford. Then got offered a deal on the integra that I couldn't pass up.
