If you got caught driving it home then yeah the Bill of sale will work but you have like 48 hows to go get it titled and licensed, bill of sale just means you bought the car until you license and title it then everything you do is still in there name. Went through that before, I sold the kid my car and he turned around not even 2 hours after and wrecked it then tried to say it was still mine and tossed his side of the bill of sale but I had a copy and he no longer has a license.
