i have heard that after u get that u have 30days to get it licensed. i bought it from a private seller and all so ya. just wondering, and if i do, then would i get temp tags or what? new to this, lol

You have 30 days to get it liscenced without penelty fees. You do emissions and inspection and register it, , and then you get your plates.

get it safety inspected, emmisions tested (if applicable), then take the all this paperwork plus proof of insurance, personal property tax and the signed title to the DMV and you can get your plates. the signed title and insurance should get you out of any ticket until all of this is completed

i know how to get it licensed and what not, but i dont have the money to get it inspected and all that stuff to get it licensed, so i was wondering if that would allow me to drive it before i got it licensed, thats what ive heard anyways.

youve got 48 hours from the date of sale, but most cops wont ackknowledge that

i just did it with stolle, you got 30 days and after that you face $500 worth of fines. Im on the ILL side so theres no inspections just emissions but they just passed the law anything bought mid last year and so on doesnt have emissions only 96 and newer

ya, out in bumfuk we dont have to do emmisions, so ya. but u are saying that i can drive it for like 30days with the bill of sale?

You can but if you get caught then your gonna get some hefty fines. Driving a without proper registration, no insurance, frauding using plates from another car, etc etc and on top of it all you will get that fine.

ok, thats what i thought, but someone told me that when i got the bill of sale i could drive it for 30days with that, kinda like temp tags, u know, but i didnt think it was true so i thought id ask the geniouses of stlhondas
