carbon fiber lip is dead....

Post by civicex442 »

so on my way to work on monday i was taking the normal road when i saw the car in front of me drift a normal right hand turn. i hit the brakes, saw the huge ice patch from water draining off some dead beats gravel driveway the day before, let off the brakes right before i hit the ice and held on. the car turned sideways. i tried to correct but just couldn't pull it all the way back before i started into the ditch. in the end i just killed my font lip and scratched up a wheel but it still sucks. had i not corrected as much as i did i would have for sure rolled. i have pics and will post them tomorrow. i just happened to have the drill i used to put the lip on in my car so i drilled out the pop rivits and pulled it off and then took off my front bumper and had some of my brothers red neck friends pull me out. see jesse, catawissa pays off sometimes

yeah it sucks. i put it back on the car. it doesnt look that bad. you cant see the cracks from ten feet away. mook asked if it was a j's racing knock off... if it is, it was a damn good one to stay in one peice in a 40mph mud dive

I hydroplaned on a drainoff puddle once... If I had a c/f lip, I think it would have cracked, but you be the judge:
