Ok so my internet has been acting up lately not allowing my mom to get on AOL, E-bay, or really any other major place that you have to sign in at. But nw it completely stopped working and I don't know why. Can any help me?

AOL FTL. Your ISP could be having technical difficulties.

It did it for about 2 weeks and she disconnected it to plug it into her laptop and it didn't work. we plugged in everything in right. But downloaded Firefox and now Yahoo wont open because of Firefox, even though she uninstalled it. But Internet explorer will open but it shows this page cannot be displayed.

I'm guessing the is the sbc/yahoo dsl...try resetting the modem while leaving everything else plugged in. Then allow a few minutes for it all to reboot.

Try it one more time...and about 3 minutes after...go to where you can view your network connection...right click...disable...wait till it disables...and then re-enable it. That's what I used to have to do w/ our shitty dsl service. If that didn't work either then I'm out of ideas...but I tried.
