my car has been at honda since sunday!

so i took the ep3 to ed napleton to get the transmission worked on turns out 2nd and 3rd gear syncros were toast. the car has 20K miles on it!! damn, oh well its covered by the warrantee, seems like they should have lasted longer than that. :dunno: im supposed to get back today (wednesday) hopefully they dont go out again at 40K miles

I have heard nothing but bad things about the k series transmissions. my buddy had an rsx and it crapped out on him fast, and it wasnt even abused.

i have only had the car since january 1st this year i bought it with 19K miles. they replaced 2nd and 3rd gear syncros along with i think the 3-4 gear set. i have it back now and it drives awesome so im happy...

werd, this is a common problem for the ep3s, the 1-2 grind 2-3 grind...

well good, I am glad it was a free repair.

my buddy had a turbo gti that was heavly mod'ed and he went through 3 transmissions. and his car had 24,000 on the odometer. I remember having to strip everything off of the car back to stock so it could go back for the warranty repairs. after tranny #3 he traded it in on a wrx.
