Circuit board repair anyone?
I have a 1994 accord and the speedo isnt working. I took the circuit board out and found some very small burn spots right where I would have suspected. Does anyone know how to repair it?

well, i've done plenty of micro soldering but if the board is burnt decently, there is a decent chance it wont work again. If the leads just need to be resoldered to the board it shouldn't be to bad

Do you know what primarily causes these boards to do this?

Couldn't tell you for sure. Something definitely failed and the result heated the board enough to cook it. I guess I'm just stating the obvious tho.zrs6v4;174024 wrote:Do you know what primarily causes these boards to do this?

Are they just burnt traces or did some components burn off the board? If it's burnt traces, you can just go up the line a little and solder a jumper to go across the break. If it's components, as long as the traces did not lift, you can probably just clean the board and replace the components. Pics would help determine this, though.
