I got my car back from Firestone, new Potenza G009's (185/60r14) and passed safety inspection :partydance: So before taking my emissions test again I decided to take a lap around the city (up 170 to 70, 70 to 270, 270 south to ladue, ladue to deilman where the emissions place is) o warm everything up. when I merged onto 270, I decided to cut all the way over to get around these two asshats in a galant that felt like cutting me off right before the onramp. well, I get all the way over and look in my rearview mirror "Hey, it's a cop!... wonder how fast I'm going..." and look down just in time to see the needle sweep back across 100. Crap. alright, he's right on my ass, might as well get over a lane. he gets over right behind me. "goddamn dude, just put on your lights already..." then he goes one more lane over and gets in teh exit lane for Dorsett
no ticket for me! WOOT!
...but then I failed emissions. I lowered my HC score from 1.7 to 1.06 (limit is .8) with just a lap around the highways, so I think I can make it pass with just a few tweaks... :dunno: changed the oil, and put a bottle of fuel system cleaner in, so maybe it will be good to go when I try it next time.
