Ebay exhausts are ok. Just remeber that you get what you pay for. The exhaust I bought for the 4-door didn't fit correctly, so I had to modify the heat shield a little and the silencer didn't come out of the muffler. Personally, I would buy a nice APEX'i exhaust or get one custom made.

sence your getting 3 in. why do you only want it to last a year? it might make it last longer if you hit it with high temp paint to keep the rust off. or have someone powder coat it. that would really save the piping from rust. My dad did that with my headers and they still haven't rusted and thats been 3 years. thats only if you think it will rust though. i think it will be fine though.

just wondering?
auction says its t-304 stainless steel so it wont rust, if anything it may crack at the welds. i got a cheap ebay exhaust on my crx it fits ok, hangs a bit too low, sounds alright. i would message the seller and ask if their is any part of the exhaust that is reduced, smaller the pipe diameter advertised. mine was, it went from 2.5" down to 1.7" at a flange "gay" make sure it doesnt have any shit like that, if it doesnt i would say get it if you really want to. otherwise save your money for something better...

I would deal with the rattles and wait till your tax return and get a decent exhaust.
I bought a test pipe off of ebay, it was packed with fiberglass, the inner mesh came loose and inside ( I guess the fiberglass) ignited. It glowed a cool shade of red/orange and could of seriously messed some stuff up.
I bought a cheap cai off of ebay for my single slam before my swap and the inside of the tubes were full of metal shavings.
I guess what I am trying to say is good things arnt cheap and cheap things arnt good.
Save your money and put it into a decent exhaust.
By the way you said it was a three inch exhaust? are you turbo?
