With all this retro this, retro that, bow down to the baby boomer crap, some interesting trends have been appearing in the car universe. One of the biggest, to me, is the rise of the "Pro Touring/Resto-mod/Street Machine" movement that's going on with these older muscle cars. You see these older cars with biiig wheels and tires, bling blang big brake kits, slammed, and made to look like hardcore corner-carving machines. Out of all this, I've found the two cars that best exemplify the concept, but are polar opposites in their execution and presentation. I want to hear everyone's opinion on them, specifically which one would you rather have (if any). Without further ado, here are the contenders...
Johnson's Hot Rod Shop 'g-force cuda'
Big money, big cubes, big wheels, big brakes, big waste o' carbon fiber? This certainly matches the mission of the movement: a modern interpretation of an American classic.
Julian's 'Project SN65'
Here's something a little closer to home, they're out of Illinois! Instead of making an old car look new, these guys went so far as so make a new car look old. They literally draped the '65 fastback unibody and exterior features over the frame and drivetrain of an '03 Cobra.
So which would it be, boys and girls? I'm just curious to see what the folks 'round here think.
