i dont know a lot about transmissions.

i've built my motor enough that i'm strung out at 130, redlining in 5th

do i have to get a whole new tranny or can i just have it geared differently?

why do you need to go faster than 130? and what motor tranny do you have?

What motor and transmission are you using?

Yeah but what transmission? When i first swapped a b18b in my hatch with an si s4c transimission i was topping out at 120mph at 7k in 5th. You can change 5th gear to change the final drive if you wanted a higher top speed, but ya why do you need to go faster then 130mph?

get an ls tranny all i can tell you something with tall gears maybe one out of a crv lol, but your car wont accelerate for shit. unless you get something of a power adder your motor wont have the torque to move the car that fast with taller gears, so you may swap out the tranny or put taller final drive in it and end up topping out at 120 cause your motor doesnt have enough torque...

my tranny actually will grind if i try to put it in fifth above 4,500. thats the only time it does it, it keeps me out of trouble, so i really dont mind it.
