that sucks, the bin file on the chip yanks a bunch of timing up top under boost so i doubt it detonated unless you dizzy was full advanced. sounds like broken ring lands or a blown head gasket, the d15 did something similar to what your car did, it was a blown head gasket. sucks that happened some motors just arent up to handling boost. if the return line on the turbo was leaking the turbo should be fine cause it was getting oil, it just wasnt draining back into the pan. the oil light could have come on because your idle was so low that it wasnt getting enough pressure...
if you need a new motor quick, pick up a d15 cheap as hell and you can throw your cam out of the a6 in it like i did. they run their asses off, ill lend a hand swapping motors, im sure a lot of other people will to...

i'm thinking of finding a z6 or b7 bottom end and throwing my head on it, doing a port and polish and valve job on it. Got my adapter plate in tonight and am going to get it all ready to get together once again, but gotta find a job so I can snag a new clutch since the clutch slipped a bit at the end of 3rd and part of 4th under boost.
Being outside in the cold last night again made me sick as all hell again and swelled my face and neck so I think I might have to go get a perscription to get rid of this tommorow. So all in all it was a bad week but it was a test and tune sorta thing and I knew the motor would go sometime just didn't think it would be so fast.
Thanks for the help on everything, in a couple days I'm gonna do a compression test and everything. I shall update once I find out whats going on, the car as it sits shut off is no longer leaking oil, so like I always say it's not fun unless your breaking something lol.

correct. Most likely ringlands essentially (boosting/blowing) the oil to the only place where the pressure in the crankcase can be released, (PCV, and breather)b18b-t;11387 wrote:well a blown turbo wouldnt cause smoke to be shooting out the vavle cover

meh the a6 block had 180k on it but was completely sound so I figured it would handle the boost for a bit till I figured out how much further I wanted to go. Well in the day of boosting I got out of it I can tell you I got a whole new plan for whats gonna go in it and yes it will be boosted once again.
You might ask why, well boost is my friend and I <3 it.
