Im having really bad chest and back pain

Post by 99PreludeSh »

Well after dance last night I was having the worst pain in my chest and in my back, it feels like they are in the same location as in front to back. I have no idea what I did but when I breathe in the slightes its a sharp pain in my chest and back, and gets worse as I breathe deeper.

Any suggestions? I think I might have just pulled somthing because we were working on our c-jumps like crazy last night.

If you have insurance, go see a doctor.

I could be a pulled muscle or strain. I doubt your having some sort of heart trouble (attack). It could be pleurisy, but I don't think its that either. http://www.webmd.com/hw/lung_disease/tj8149.asp

fyi, if you have any preexisting illnesses (like chronic back problems, arthritis,...anything) you need to get new insurance NOW! you have 6 months to get re-insured after you are dropped from a plan and still get everything covered. after that you are subject to a medical exam and any preexisting illnesses will not be covered on your new plan.
Not sure if it applies here in MO or not, the people that told me about lived in Ohio/Chicago and they found this out the hard way. The girl used to do competitive horse riding and was kicked in the back by one of her horses, leading to chronic back problems... they waited too long after school to get health insurance and now they cannot get coverage for her back unless they pay HUGE premiums. If they got a new plan right away, it would have all been covered by the new provider. It's apparently a law where they can't refuse you coverage if you were insured in the last 6 months :dunno:

just a word to the wise, because they could try to tell you that you are SOL after a medical exam when they will try to tell you every small problem is a preexisting condition and won't be covered.

I really have no way to get insurance, the job I work at now doesnt supply it to part-time people and I cant be on my parents anymore because I graduated.

reminds me of something a guy told me once... "In America, you know you've made it when you can afford your own health insurance"
