this is not the argument.. he saying i screwed him buy giving him a running motor,tranny,clutch,axles everything!! Then when i needed someparts back because they would have NEVER EVER came with the motor in the first place he is throwing a fit and talking shit behind my back to other people and trying to make it seem like he got a bad deal.

I'm the shady one? He knew what he was getting, I obviously had no clue. when I first made the deal I warned him that it may be difficult to get started since there was oil on the top of the pistoons. Chris told me he didn't care since he was taking the head off anyway...

as you can seee in the picture it was vertical the whole time, and the only things i touched were the spark plugs and the exhaust ports. From the thread you can also see that i was selling just a longblock (which excludes accessories!)

now don't blame me for having gunk in the intake or whatever, if it was there I had no idea, I bought the engine just the way i sold it, taped up and everything.

jake i am simply stating you feel like you got fucked but you don't seem to understand that you are the ONLY one who feels like. YOU DID NOT HAVE TO SPEND A DIME TO REPLACE ANYTHING. yes i knew that the motor would be missing items that is fine but when i need the items back from my motor you got all pissy about it when the parts were not yours in the first place.

you need to relize how good of a deal you got and move on and quit trying to make me look bad because you will NEVER EVER beable to do that, i fight my own battles and do not choses sides depending on how it benifits me. I help EVERYBODY and even helped you and this is how you replay me.

alt-you did not need one cause you reused your factory one but if you did need one they are 140.00

axles- mine are new and have a warrenty and i gave them to you FREE (not in the deal but you needed them) but once again you could have just used your factory ones but new they are 160.00 for the pair plus core.

and sorry i did not have a factory exhaust manifold not my problem cause my DC sports headed was NEVER in the deal.

alt- this was one of your selling points to giving me the engine, you exclaimed "its even got a brand new alternator and distributer" I was like , awesome this should be a good deal then

axles- if the transmission you gave me was in fact a ZC tranny like you said it was, my factory axles would in NO WAY work. The day i picked up the engine I asked you once again to make sure that it was a ZC tranny. You told me yes it was, then i asked why it didn't have egual length axles and a halfshaft. You then preceded to tell me that you used integra knuckles or whatever the fuck they are called so they would fit. I told you then that i would most likely need the axles to fit. If this tranny is in fact a ZC, then the axles should be included, if it is not a ZC, by all means take them back, i'll use some stock ones.

manifold- this i was confused about. I very distinctly remember leaving your basement, not wanting to take the header because I was just going to use the stock ZC one i had. no big deal. BUT... as I was leaving your basement your yelled out to me "hey bitch, don't forget my manifold." I had was planning on leaving it there, but you insisted I take it. so what the fuck did you want me to take it for? I obviously didn't need it since i walked right past it, but then you get mad because I couldn't get it back to you fast enough?

maybe next time we should be more clear as to what people are getting.

sounds like an extreme lack of communication, i dont think jake knew about the condition of the b16 it was a motor that was going to be used one of his cars. the deal turned out bad and its unfortunate, just seems that both parties could have been more specific and like mentioned above write up a clear contract exactly describing the deal. i just hope we can all have a nice stlhondas meet and a have nice cold soda and laugh about this in the future

I have met both of you before and you both are nice guys, not out to fuck anyone but look at your costs a bit here.

The first 450, you knew it was coming just by looking at the engine.

Next the Alt. again you could see it wasn't on the motor and a D series wont fit, that was lack of research. As for the header that i don't know about

The timing equipment you should have changed with the swap anyway. It had been sitting for 2 years, you knew that. 2 years of non motion a belt will get brittle and grease will get hard. It happens, most people that work on cars do know this. Same goes with the dizzy and the t-stat, anything that has been sitting this long needs basic maintance. Like I said before, you know how long it had been sitting.

Your complaining about out of pocket costs but its all normal costs for an engine that had been sitting that long.

When you gave him the parts to take when he was leaving where ever he picked them up from, I am sure he didn't think he was getting them just to store for you. Usually when someone gives you something to use they don't suddenly ask for them back because they sold it. If you were planning on selling or using something then you should have not let him leave with the parts.

You told him you needed another DD and you knew that you didn't have one, all you had to do was say that you could not at the time because the 240 was not running. If he bitches then, so what it was the deal.

As of what I have read and been a part of it seems like you are both just bing bitchy. You made a deal and verbally agreed what this deal was. Jake gave you the motor which you inspected and agreed to the deal. You offered additional free parts then took them back. Right now the only person in the wrong I see here is you.

What needs to be done now is you 2 need to take this shit off the forum and call each other and work this shit out. There is no need for the drama here. I vote that this thread be locked and/or deleted
