I don't agree about all the ricer comments. It seems if you don't like someones style that makes them a a ricer. So someone likes a big body kit and large wheels. No go all show is some peoples taste. Hondas are not race cars, yes they can be fast but not everyone sees it like that. The scene is not that big because if someone does anything cosmetic to their car that someone else does not like they are labeled a ricer. If you want a scene, help someone out by working with them not by putting them down.

I wouldn't nessecerally say that. I have meet some really good friends from the site, and I think it is ran well. There are a few fast honda's at gateway, I think what needs to be done is, showing people how to build a clean car all the way around.

It's not run well at all. I used to be a supermod there, I think I'd know.

Let's get back on topic.

The quick and dirty is that we won't get any progress unless we start at the bottom, ourselves.

I hear ya on that, I'll be at gateway as much as possible this season. I'll be more then happy to try and rep the site the best I can, also it's not about the go either. People can make there cars fast and look sleeper all they want and honestly that's the way I like it but if ya look at others cars theres thing you wouldn't dare do, say a gross huge wing or something. Everyone has a opinion on what they like and don't if someone wants to build a drag car/street/autocross/showcar then so be it. I'm always down to help and try to learn more stuff and if I know something they don't I'll try to help out that way too. I like alot of show cars but when you see a puke green honda or somehting with a big bird yellow wing and body kit with some 20's that spin on bags...I mean come on does that not make you wanna kill yourself lol.

well even if we do attract these "ricers" to our site we could direct them in a manner that would maybe change the way they look at their car. since so far this site has been mainly directed towards performance for hondas, maybe we can make homemade turbo kits the new "ricer" thing to do. Our site has the possibility of changing the views of whats cool to people, out with the wings and in with engine swaps :dunno:

I think there is no scene in STL for the same reason as most, lack of knowledge by the honda owners.

Ricer is not only the way a car looks but how the driver acts. if the car is all show and no go, so be it. but if the driver thinks it is fast because it looks fast then there for he is a ricer. most people with body kits and huge gay wings are stock under the hood and they think they can compete with relatively fast vehicles. those are the people you see screaming into parking lots and attempting to get fast on grandmas. that is ricer to me.
