it is lowerd with eibach proline springs and it looks like there is plenty of clearence but when taking turns there is rubbing in the back i did not install the springs so is there a chance that they are put in wrong or maybe the car may need an alignment or camber adjustment...help

What are the offset of the rims? Also, when the lowering springs were put on, were the shocks replaced with stiffer ones?

This is an easy fix. Take off those dubs! 5th gen Honda Civic's were not designed to have 17's on them.

offset is probley off, but if its not then there is the other problem of rim and tire profile. Most hondas run 15" rims and the typical honda rims width for a 15" is 6 or 6 1/2 wich means that with a 195/50/15 you have narrower tire profile then you would have with your 17x7 with 205/45/17. So due to the 7" rim and wider tire profile and not ENUF negitive camber due to the car not being very low means that the tires will rub.

You have to rember that even though there is gap when the car is moving fwd in a strigght line that gap will close when you compress the suspension in a turn.

When you enter a turn the wheels will stand up (meaning less negitive camber) as you corner so whatevere neg camber you have goes away as the wheel travels upwards thus why to car only rubs on turns.

4 ways to fix this:

1. do as suggested and get rid of the ugly 17's and put 16's or 15's on the car

2. Get a different tire with a different tread profile ( the tires on the car now seem to have a very square tire profile where if you have falken 512's which have a rounded sidewall the tire would not be as wide at the top and then you would have less tire are to rub)

3. find sombody with a fender roller and have them roll the inner fender and eliminate that lip and give you more room for the wider tire.

4. lower the car more which would equal more neg camber

pick which ever one you want but they will all solve the rubbing issue

i do have a camber kit on it so do u think if i add more negative camber that it will help remedy my problem? And i like the look of the 17's my gf drives the car and doesnt drive hard so it doesnt really need to perform and i love the look of 17's on it 16's to small to me but w/e to each there own andi got the tires and rims for so cheap i really couldnt pass it up only 400
