What does a stock 14b boost?

Chances are, if you are using a 1g wastegate, your gonna be running close to 10-12 off the wastegate and nothing less.

Your gonna need to go external. Theres a reason even SS Shitchrome manifolds come with an external gate.

hmm always heard stock 14b's run 7psi, on the internal wastegate. anyway of turning it down like say a boost controller

yup or you can find an adjustable actuator rod for it

as long as you still have stock exhaust or full exhaust you wont get spikes and you wont run more than what the gate is set at stock if you run open down pipe or full 3 inch exhaust you will start having problems with boost creep and spikes. unless you get an external wastegate. my wastgate actuator hose was about 4 feet long and ran to the intake rather than the turbo and i had open down pipe which is why mine ran between 10-11psi

with a wastegate set at 7 psi. thats with a tiny turbo, if i did that with a decent t3 my shit would have popped a long time ago. you will be fine with 10-12 psi but i dont recommend it i would shoot for 8-10 psi it will last longer your turbo is a bit bigger than mine...

well Stolle 14b;s run at 12 psi stock from what I hear, also I hear just to shave the part it mounts to on the compresser down a few m/m and open the wastegate a bit so it has blow by and it will bring the boost down but they don't know if it will just go down a bit cause boost lag or anything. Honestly help me out tell me how to lower the boost but keep the stock actuater and pin on without going external cause my new manifold doesn't have a external slot on it and I don't wann cut a hole in it and fit a pipe on it and weld it all on.

use really small exhaust :dunno: you could cut the arm on the wastegate thread both ends and make it adjustable. im not sure i would have to see the turbo then i could get creative

well I think I'mm gonna shave a few off of where it mounts and I have a spare actuater and pin and do the adjustable thing. see how well it goes.

stolle you running a t25 or something on yours? 14b and t25 are almost the same size I thought.

t25 is tiny and gated at 8psi, 14b is quite a bit bigger than a t25, im using a rhb5, just slightly larger than a t25...
