well you gotta have your pop server ans STMP servers correct. she had it in south carolina then what internet service she use cause it will be setup for that.
Pretty much you will set her up a account using her preexsisting account with her servers from that old account.
"EXAMPLE"
Charter:
pop3.charter.net
stmp.charter.net

What are the errors you are getting? Can't help you without that. I use OE and it checks both of my email accounts everytime I hit send/receive.

i have an Associate Degree in Computer Networking, 12 credits away from my Bachelor degree
Here's what I need to be able to help:
what version of Outlook Express is it, or is it MS Office Outlook?
Internet Service Provider (ISP)
have any firewalls or antivirus software?
have a router? default settings on the router? if you have security set-up on your router, it can have the port used by POP3 blocked, etc...
you can send me an e-mail and I can look throught the header and figure out whta your pop3 and smtp servers are, or you can e-mail someone who knows how to read headers...
if you need any help feel free to e-mail me @: Andriy.I.Pokha@erac.com
