New Civic Si - Anyone Rolling This?

Post by GTI-Guy »

Thanks for warm welcome on my "I'm New post

Had this topic in there, so thought I'd break out for some separate attention as seems was missed

I'm really interested in hearing who has this car, how they like it, and any mods they've done to it

Thanks

There's straight line fast, then there's curvy line fast. Unfortunately I've never been able to test drive one / haven't had a student roll up with one on the track. How's it feel in "sprited" driving around windy roads ... feel balanced? Roll much? Understeer or more neutral feeling? Does the lack of low end power frustrate ya' in everyday driving?

i have the 4dr version, and love it...for a dd it gets up and goes decent and has very little body roll and seems pretty stable in the twistys and the seats are awsome and it has a nice ride... i will probably keep it till it falls apart

edit: shifting into 6th took a little getting used to...as for lack of power in low end the gears are close enough to not notice

it understeers quite a bit when you push it. i dont trust the tires on there as of right now (michelin pilot sports) in the spring time i will be putting bfg kdw's on. for being a stock civic it does handle extremely well i must say the big sways make a huge improvement from riding in an ex compared to mine. all around i am very happy with it.

Ah, that's right .. I forgot about the 4 door Si!

That would be a great, fun, daily driver ... I have twin 10 year old boys, so while my GTI offers good room in the back, obviously 4 doors is more practical

I'll have to check out some pics of that, yours looks good ... still looks "Si" even with the extra set of doors

Good point on the smaller drop between ratios with the 6 speed ... you just keep workin' that great shifter to keep the engine in the sweet spot, correct?

You guys ever have any GTGs? I know it'd be weird to have a VW guy, but as I think you can tell, I'm also a Honda enthusiast!
