whats up guys and gals...heres the thing...im planning on buying a set of dropzone adjustable coilover sleeves to put on the civic 4 dr seddan...

my problem is this...the front struts are old as hell and right now the driving feel is as if i was driving on a water bed. the rear struts are just fine.

now since the coilover springs are shorter and stiffer will that make my ride stiff enough? will the old struts give me any problems since they are old as f*ck? cus if its not gonna be any issues lowering with those coilovers ill just keep the old struts till i have cash for the new ones.

anything helpful is always welcome.

Stock shocks/struts already have a hard enough time with lowered cars, let alone old ones. If you are going to lower your car get a proper shock/strut set up with your sleeves.

I understand that part that while lowered the strut is under a lot of stress
But my question is having these old struts already hiving issues if getting
Those sleeves on there till i get better struts would be an issue

Your car will handle worse then how it does now if you install the coilover sleeves on the stock struts. Most likely the springrates of the coilover sleeves are going to be much higher than the stock springs and the struts will not be able to handle the stress. Not to mention running the strut outside of it's optimum range of use once it's lowered.

Your car will float all over the road and be almost uncontrollable. Your car will bottom out alot and hard.
