First off, I apologize for all the writing/questions. But After running XXR's and Nexens, I'd like to make sure I do this right the second time.
So I'm looking at a set of 949 Racing 6ul's in 15x8 +36 with a 5-10mm spacer and extended lugs for my next setup. Something in a more functional direction.
Question is, I'd like to find some 225/45 tires for them but I can't find them in anything other than extreme summer or radials. If someone knows of any that I could run on a semi-DD that have better treadwear, please let me know
IF NOT, would a 205/50 tire provide the adequate grip I want? I'm looking at Yoko S-Drives, Direzza DZ101, or Nitto NT Neo Gen NR.
Also would I need a hubcentric ring? If so, where can I find some for a 98 Integra?
I've done a lot of searching and so far these are the open ended questions I find myself with.
Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you very much.

You're probably going to get a lot of different opinions on this subject. But here's my input.
You'll be just fine with a 205/50-15 tire on a 15x8. Your choice of tire is really what is going to determine how well the car handles more than increasing the tread width. My car handles much better on 195/50 Bridgestone Potenza RE01R's than 205/50 Nitto NeoGen's. Obviously this is a bit exaggerated since I'm comparing a summer tire to an all-season tire, but you get my point.
Of the three 205/50's you're looking at, I've used the DZ101 and the NeoGens. I personally like the NeoGen's better. They seem to make the car more responsive and better in the rain compared to the DZ101's. The S-Drive's are the better tire out of the three, but it's not an all-season tire as it's seems that's what you're looking for.
I always suggest hub centric rings. I feel that they provide a smoother ride and help prevent damage to the wheel studs, lug nuts and wheels during removal and installation. I prefer plastic hub centric rings as they don't corrode and seize themselves to the hub or wheel like metal ones do.
You would need these rings.

Tires for new setup
Thats the setup i'm getting... -__-
I'm going with 225/45 Hankook RS3's or the Nitto Nt01 in that size. Haven't quite decided since i plan to move from the Street Touring class to the D Street Prepared class next year, where i'm not limited to a 140 treadwear and 7.5inch wheel width. I could run some Hoosier A6's but i would like to be able to drive on the wheels and tires all summer lol.
You're gonna have to run a 205/50, theres nothing streetable per say in a 225/45 besides the RS3 or Toyo R1R. which each have a 140 treadwear which you don't want.

As for all season vs. summer, I'm at school for most of the year so I mainly drive the car in the summer anyway. Any advice is appreciated.
Sorry Erik! I've been looking at these for quite a while though, still deciding between bronze and silver (which is out of stock atm)eh2_Erik;277358 wrote:Thats the setup i'm getting... -__-

Yeah the treadwear completely deterred me from 225/45 lol

Yeah i was thinking about getting them before i got the Kosei's but class rules forced me to stick with them, Now that i'm considering moving classes where i can run an 8inch wide wheel they're the only real option without a +20 or lower offset. Not to mention they look awesome. Well i think if i continue the course with this car, there will be two silver integra's with 949's.. but i'm getting black for sure... Hawk HP+'s will be very dusty lol.SLAMDcfour;277400 wrote:Sorry Erik! I've been looking at these for quite a while though, still deciding between bronze and silver (which is out of stock atm)

We'll see once they come back in stock.

15x8 +36 (pretty sure he has 3mm spacers and 5mm spacers, not sure on positioning) 225/45/15 Toyo R888
You bet your balls i'm gonna do white walls too.

That was the car I always referenced for 225/45 fitment. Looks so aggressive with white walls, DO IT.
I'm thinking KICS 8mm spacers all around, Since my fenders already were heavily rolled for those stupid XXR's. Paired with ARP extended lungs and Yokohama S-Drives should sit nicely and function well.

If this is going to be your only set of wheels/tires to use year round and you think there's even a slight chance you're going to drive in the snow, then get an all-season tire.SLAMDcfour;277400 wrote:Thanks Rob, I'll look up the rings soon.

Hell yes! I love that stance.eh2_Erik;277402 wrote: 15x8 +36 (pretty sure he has 3mm spacers and 5mm spacers, not sure on positioning) 225/45/15 Toyo R888

If you're just going to run an 8mm spacer, I would suggest the '96-'98 Acura 3.2TL rear wheel studs. They work with the Integra hubs and extend the stud by 9.5mm. They're a slightly cheaper and easier alternative to ARP's too.SLAMDcfour;277409 wrote:That was the car I always referenced for 225/45 fitment. Looks so aggressive with white walls, DO IT.
