Koni/GC combo for Civic... Fit on Teg?

Post by sixThreeSiX »

Guy is selling his combo for a good price. The kit is made for a 97 civic. Thing is I own a 2000 Integra. I know the fronts will fit with no prob. Question is... The Civic LCA is skinnier than the Tegs.

Also, I know the spring rates for each of the GC sleeves are different due to different part numbers. The civic weighs maybe 400-500lbs more. In ratio, thats really not that much.

Will grinding down the LCAs lose the integrity (not supposed to be a play on words, but worked out b-e-a-u-tifully :dogpile:) of the frame and suspension itself?

And will a 400 lb difference between the cars suspension really make a difference and bounce??

Need some helP!

the rear struts to my knowledge, struts are taller on an integra so if you put them on a civic the rear end would sit higher than the front.

edit: i got it backwards but either way you get the idea, the back end on the integra would sit too low with civic struts.

So vice versa.... The struts for a Civic, if you were to put onto an Integra, the Teg would sit lower???:blob10::tongue3::blob3:

I was really debating it cause he was giving me a killer deal (KONI/GC, Tein Shocks, B&M short shift, and some other misc. parts for the price of Konis alone). I have alwasy been a firm believer in "Do it Right the FIRST TIME". And I think this seals the deal

Stop going with the civic crap because it's "dirt cheap". If you can't wait and save up for parts made for your car you need to get a new hobby right now! This one is expensive to do right.
Think I could make some money selling the parts individually? They are all BNIB (Box is a little worn)
