What years of shocks/struts are interchangeable on a 96 civic?

What years of shocks/struts are interchangeable on a 96 civic?

car is riding rough on all 4 corners and I don't have the funds to get new cushion so I'm going to have to go fishing in the used parts bins, but don't know what my options are.

'92-'00 Civic and '94-'01 Integra Front Struts are interchangeable. '96-'00 Civic Rear Struts are interchangeable.

anything in particular to look for? I've never bought used struts, what's the best way to know if I'm getting something decent or is it all just a crap-shoot?

you can get some tokiko blues really cheap on ebay. i would highly advise against buying used shit, especially OLD used shit.

i was gonna say you cn get a good set of tokicos for about 3 hundred bucks...i dont suggest gettin used parts, youll fall right back into the whole you in now in a matter of months then youll be lookin again.....jus spend the money, if you buy used your gonna sink jus as much money into vs how long the new ones would last

You can use eg/dc rear shocks on a 96-00 if you swap the shock bushing on the lca with one from a eg/dc, or you can grind each side of your current bushing sleeve about an 1/8". The lower clevis on the eg/dc shock is narrower by about a 1/4"

you have that backwards sir, ek's have narrower rear shock bushing, but with saying that you can use any eg, dc, rear shocks you just have to run a spacer by the bushing
