Energy hyper-flex master bushing kit

Post by Liquor Assassin »

found an energy hyper-flex master bushing kit on ebay for 139.99 plus 9.99 shipping/handling
just wondering if this is a good product, is it worth it, and also was wondering if anyone knew a good shop who would install the bushings for a good price

the link

i also need both a front and rear camber kit, if anyone knows where to find a quality set of those for an 89 civic that would be greatly appreciated as well, trying to get my front and rear camber within -2 degrees (its at -4 or more right now), and the toe zero'd out on all four corners(needs bushings for that)

I've got your same car and am getting ready to pull the trigger on these. Just remember that the master kit does not come with the rear trailing arms, if you are in my boat about all your bushings are crap.

I installed these on my ef and let me tell you big diffrence in the performance. On thing you need to do when installing these is to be genourous with the lube that is provited otherwise you will get creeks and squeeks all over. Good luck.

I run this kit on my box, along with the trailing arm bushings.
I dont hear sqeaking too bad, and the improvement was well worth it.

I have energy bushings for my front uppers and lowers, as well as their trailing arm bushings. they perform fine, but are an absolute bitch to put in. energy bushings don't come with new sleeves like oem, mugen hard rubber, PIC, etc. by having to reuse the original shells, tons of new problems present themselves. is def not as easy as a press in/press out proceedure. you will need a torch to burn everything out, then scrape and prep the shells, then figure out a way to press the new ones in effectively. horrible process if you ask me. spend the extra 50-75 and get legit ones. I would if I was doing it again. Also, if you decide to gamble on these, get black instead of red. the black coloring in the polyurethane has a higher graphite content, so it is self lubricating to an extent.

as for camber, I highly recommend SPC. you will want to definitely get their rear uppers, and you can get the complete front uppers or just the adj upper ball joint if you want to save money. if you are going for super aggressive stance I would get the complete front upper arms, they are a little more adjustable/accommodating for slammed suspension. I have their products and I have no complaints.

not worried about the stance of the car as much as the performance of the suspention... i am all for function over form, and dont let anyone tell you that camber doesnt wear tires... anyone who says that has no idea what they are talking about, or buys a new set of wheels every other week, i am willing to pay a little more to save headaches as well.. how much more is the question though
