alright, so i have everything off and apart on my front suspension and go to put the shock into the damper fork and the shock is too small/ damper fork wont close all the way. am i just plain stupid and im missing something, or have more people had this problem with the yellows fitting onto an EG... yes i have the correct shocks for the vehicle.
do i need to go pick up some new damper forks or something, or just return the shocks and tell them they sent me the wrong ones and try again with a new set?

Sounds to me like you have EF front shocks. They are smaller diameter than 92-00 Civic front shocks.
EDIT: Just because you ordered the right shocks doesn't mean they didn't send the wrong ones. Run the part number on them or just measure the shock body OD. I'm guessing you'll find that they are EF OD instead of EG/EK/DC OD.
Measure the OD of the shock body on your original shocks (where the shock fork clamps) then measure your Koni's. I am willing to bet that your Koni's are about .15" smaller than your originals. If they are, you have 88-91 front shocks. You can either send them back and get the right ones or you can find a set of EF/DA front shock forks and put them on. Both the EF/DA and the EG/EK/DC front shock forks are the same height so you can interchange them. You just have to make sure the shock fork is the correct ID for your shock's OD so they clamp correctly.

Wrong product in box will get you an exchange. I had a guy that ordered 3.73 gears for his Camaro. The box said 3.73 but, upon tooth count, there were 4.56's in the box. I called Keystone and they took the gears back, no problem.

Alright, so I got off the phone with keystone and my rep said they had none at the warehouses and would have to get them from koni, which means they are like 2+ weeks away, so I guess I'm lookin for some EF forks for the time being unless I can't find them for two weeks... are the actual shocks themselves the same length between the eg and ef or is the ef shorter? I unfortunately didn't really pay any attention when I had everything off the car.

When I went about this, I read that the strut or the fork was slightly shorter. Which seems to be about right since me coupe was lower then other EG on H&R Race Springs. You'll have no problem running front EF forks and struts on your EG. I ran my car like that for nearly a year with zero issues.vtecaddict;197090 wrote:Alright, so I got off the phone with keystone and my rep said they had none at the warehouses and would have to get them from koni, which means they are like 2+ weeks away, so I guess I'm lookin for some EF forks for the time being unless I can't find them for two weeks... are the actual shocks themselves the same length between the eg and ef or is the ef shorter? How much lower was it exactly... On stock shocks my car dropped 2.5 inches to where the wheels are tucked and about a fingerwidth between the tire and the inner fender... I don't know how much lower I can actually go in the front.
