Don't just tell me you like Koni's because thats what you have on your car. I'm wanting it to ride pretty damn stiff/firm (i know, thats what she said)

Skunk2 sport shocks are made Shorter in length to accommodate for a lowered ride height. they are also a bit stiffer than OEM shocks
Tokico HP's (blues) ARE Stock replacement shocks. dont buy them they suck.
and Koni reds are also a stock replacement i believe, im really not sure because i dont know of ANYONE who uses them lol... but i bet they have a good warranty

In my opinion, there isn't any difference between them. They're all pretty much stock replacements. Those won't give you what you want.

i agree with you rob to a certain extent, i wouldnt consider Skunk2 sport shocks a stock replacement only because i know people and have riden and driven cars with them, they are in no way a high performance shock but they were made to be used with skunk2 springs and skunk2 sleeve coilovers.
i will also agree with you when you say that they arent what he is looking for. honestly after owning a set of good full bodied adjustable coilovers there is nothing better, becuase ou can tune it to whatever you feel like driving like.
if i were you i would get a set of Koni Yellows or KYB AGX's and Ground control coilovers, while its a bit more on the expensive side, Koni yellows have a life-time warrany and you can get ground controls in a variety of spring rates.
hope that helps

Werd up. This man speaks the troof. Yellows or AGXs with GCs are a nice cheaper alternative to full coilovers and will give you great performance and adjustability to your driving style. Should be exactly what you're looking for.MidoriMiller;172563 wrote:i agree with you rob to a certain extent, i wouldnt consider Skunk2 sport shocks a stock replacement only because i know people and have riden and driven cars with them, they are in no way a high performance shock but they were made to be used with skunk2 springs and skunk2 sleeve coilovers.

he just got skunk2 springs, and his lower lca bolt looks seized, meaning he may have to cut the struts, I THINK... lemme know if I'm wrong,
Id maybe find some oem ones, or perhaps a junkyard just for the rears or maybe go the cheapest route on struts as long as the quailty is still good.

Or just buy new RLCAs and new bolts. Like you should do when ever replacing OEM suspension that has over 15+ years of corrosion, rust, and dirt built up on it. This stuff isin't that expensive.IshbOO;172583 wrote:he just got skunk2 springs, and his lower lca bolt looks seized, meaning he may have to cut the struts, I THINK... lemme know if I'm wrong,
