So what are some of you guys in the higher hp range doing to help hook the power on the track, ie like wheel size, tire brand and size, suspension set up.
I was kinda thinking this way:
-13" wheels
-24.5x8 or a 26" slick from M&H
-but kinda wanting a few pointers on a solid rear sping and shock combo set up.
So lets hear it.......

i dont think youll need 26's LOL. 23-24.5" are ALOT more forgiving...how much power are you making? you must have enough power to run 8-9 seconds if youre wanting 26's.
you need a wider wheel for a slick. lenso's are cheap and lighter than anything.
full race traction bar
solid or 95a mounts
pic performance drag suspension. that means 18k springs in the rear which are the stiffest you can get.
LSD
learn how to drive. practice makes perfect.
play with the psi in the slicks, most hondas like around 5-8psi.
MT's ARE better than M&H's.
theres some pointers to get you started.

My friends stock turbod b20 civic was BLOWING 24" slicks, so that kinda makes me a little nervous running that size.

how much power was the b20 making? I didn't spin with 205/60-13 m&h DOT slicks, making about 340 / 280.
maybe a track only car. I wouldn't want to drive one daily.JustRob;156437 wrote:Any opinions on spools?

lol well he has other issues then. i cut 1.6 sixty foots on 24.5" slicks. up until recently the quickest street honda in the world was running 24.5's. there is no need for 26's and the power you will be making and breaking alot of parts because of them.integ2000ls;156435 wrote:My friends stock turbod b20 civic was BLOWING 24" slicks, so that kinda makes me a little nervous running that size.
