Hey guys,
Front brakes on my lil bro's 99 Si are pretty much gone, they are stock pads and rotors, and I'd like to get him a set of rotors and pads for his Birthday.
What are your guy's recommendations?
I've got drilled PowerStop rotors and Hawk pads on my car and I've had them for 3 years without problems.
I just want to see what others have experienced with other brands etc.
If you guys could also post how much you paid for your set-ups as well.

If you have have good experiences with them get them. Ive had no problems with OEM honda pads/ rotors; not Dura crap and other stuff like that.

You also have to remember what you are going to use the car for. If it's just normal driving, then I would suggest OEM rotors and street pads. There was an article in Honda Tuning about rotors and pads awhile back. They did a test with the OEM pads vs. a higher performance pad and found out the OEM pad stopped in a shorter distance. They did more than one run on each too. THey came to find out that as the more aggressive pad needed to be warmed up to bring on the shorter distance. So unless he is going to be doing autocrossing, I would suggest OEM rotors and a mild street pad. When I had to get new pads for my Si, I kept the same rotors and put on Axxis Metal-Master Performance Pads. I definately noticed a better grab of my brakes once I put those on.
