Post your swaybar set-up

Post by Spork »

I have spent most of my time in the world of EF's... very small and lightweight cars.... I do not know about the other chassis (EG, EK, DC, DA, BB, EP, ETC....) so I am curious what everyone runs around here. I know we have some suspension nuts, so I hope to get some good insight into what/why people run what they run.

My "best" set-up so far for my EF:
solid 22mm bar in back
stock DX bar up front

the car handled well, but I did notice that it was lacking if I really pushed the car into a corner.... so I am going to try a
hollow 23mm DA bar in front (auto-x/road course guys prefer these or the solid 19mm sedan bars to solid 22mm bars) and see if I like it better. if not, oh well, I still have a stock bar to put back on, and I'm only out like $20
This post comes with a guarantee: I guarantee that I don't care what you think about it.

That isn't really true... past auto-x champs (who drove ef hatches) went with really big bars in the rear and really small (crx hf) bars in front, or no front bar at all up front. If you think your car suffers from understeer (I assume that is your complaint because that is EVERY honda racer's complaint), stiffen the rear more... higher spring rates in the rear and stiff dampers in the rear would also help.

go to the tech page at redshift motorsports for more details...
