wiring up claytons drag car.

Post by stolle »

so i started the job with two requests the engine had to run and he wanted the brake lights to work.

some of the wires removed.

brake light harness, there is only one wire going to the back now.

dash side

temporary power distribution.

the relay is for the fuel pump.

yes, it runs.

the harness will be wrapped with tech flex braided wire loom and the ends terminated with shrink wrap (no electrical tape). The switch panel will be a moroso unit. the ecu, msd box, coil and relays will be mounted to aluminum sheet, so by disconnecting the main power, ground and engine connectors will allow the complete removal of the electrical system. updates to come waiting on some parts.

thanks for looking

Master Stolle shows us what is up again.
“Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee

"In the spring you will bloom like your heart through the glass in the back of the ambulance. You turn and you turn and you turn down the street, one more turn, won't you come back to me? And as it turns, the red lights, they were turning into red roses, red roses. Red roses. I'm not giving up." - Steps Ascending by Thursday

thanks, it was a lot of work, i have at least 20+ hours in to it, im sure if i did it again it wouldnt even take half that long. most of the time was spent tracing wires and figuring out what went where.

thanks man, im actually having fun with it, i have always wanted to do this to a civic.

incase anybody is wondering.

wires in harness - 45
fuses - 3
relay - 1

thats just for the engine side of things, so thats bare minimum for the engine to run. the entire engine harness is only about four feet long at the longest point, its really small.
