87 crx si ecu probs!!!

sup guys, im guessin my ecu is bad on my rex, its a 87 crx si, ecu fuse popped one die while drive, keeps poppin if i put another one in, so i opulled the passnger seat to get to the ecu and yea... shit was rusted underneath with a good amount of corrosion.. and acid build up..
so.... im lookin for the forum rules.

You are going to have a hard time finding that old of an ECU at the junkyard or anywhere in STL. i would try posting a WTB on honda-tech.com and seeing if you can get one shipped. Be sure to add Year and model when posting the WTB so people know what ecu you need.

i dont know off the top of my head of any ECUs that could be swapped in.

thnx for the input though , prolly end up orderin one off ebay if it comes down to it, im hoping the ecu is the problem, if not then i dont know wer to begin lol

also read some were u can use older integra ecu's? jus runs alot richer and the rev limiter also goes up

Man,i just saw a super clean complete 87 crx si in a yard when i was in ohio. You might try looking them up and calling them? its in cleveland ohio and its a huge pick and pull. They might be able to ship it? The crx was nearly spotless. It was one of those cars you see at a yard and wonder why its even there...anyway hope this helps and good luck!

go to redpepperracing and look that sight is for the 1st gen crx 3rd gen civic and 1st gen integras
