In Need of a Good Tune

Post by 90CivicEx »

My b16a crx at the dyno day made 151hp/121tq with CAI, Stage 3 Clutch, Light weight flywheel, 8.5mm plug wires, and a Header and cat " No exhaust after the cat if people remember". All I had was a tune I played back and forth with on the computer.

Granted some of those mods didn't make the power but helped to put it to the ground.

also ran 14.1 @ 94mph I do believe on just those mods.

yeah it is a little i would assume around 25 myself I'm just trying to covey a point
there is no way anyone can say a tune would be a "bad idea"

never said bad idea i said waste of money .. AND your list of mods is a joke for making power

-your cheap ebay CAI does not make the most power, a Short ram intake with a BPI/BLOX flow stack does.

-a test pipe actually hurts performance on a bolt on car and doesn't make any more power then a good free flowing cat, so save your self 75.00 and rock a stock cat

-you would gain more from changing your fuel filter and doing a good tune up with new ngk plugs and OEM plug wires and playing with ignition timing then you would from a 400.00 tune.

-if your going to provide information make sure it's not MISinformation
