obd2b to obd1 question

i'm reading on hondata, that if i convert to obd1, that i have to use an obd1 dizzy. there any truth to this? i figure with the jumper harness it would take care of whatever needed to be done, i may be wrong. anyone know for sure?

password:jdm makes a harness for using an obd2 dizzy with an obd1 harness. but yes the plugs on obd1 and obd2 distributors are different

You don't have to run the conversion harness unless something changed on the 99-00's. I used my OBD2a dizzy on my OBD1 ECU with no problems.

ive been running like this for 4 years. the ecu knows no differance.
