If those are your plans then K-Pro needs to be #1 on your priority list. Ditch the shorty header and the idea of testpipe (downpipe) and buck up for a Buddy Club Race Header or a Comptech Race Header. If you're going N/A then those headers are the only way to go. If you have a good CAI like Injen, a Buddy Club Race Header, 2.5" Exhaust like the Comptech Exhaust, K-Pro with a good tune you can see 200+whp. Throw in the cams and some misc. stuff and you'll be seeing 230+whp N/A.

You are correct sir, but some new cams that are coming out for the k20a2 do not require changing the valvetrain any longer.

This isn't b-series buddy, it's K... a stock k20a2's compression ratio is 11.0:1 and that is good enough for the Stage 2 cams for K-Series cars.

There were prototypes by Skunk2 or another prominent company that I read about on ClubRSX awhile back but I would have to dig it up again.

Yeah, LAWL!
so am i wrong in saying that stage 2 cams would be over kill, and that you wouldnt really see their full potential until around 12.0:1? i would imagine that the only thing that doesnt relate to b-series is the stock comp ratio, so the motor has to work the same, unless i-vtec has magic powers.

wouldn't hondata help out my comp ratios though? and shit even if it doesn't i can still get the same power i could out of stage one and then once i can upgrade more then i'll be closer to 12.0:1 right? i don't really know a lot but thats just what i thought.

It isn't overkill, there are people running IPS N/A cams with other bolt-ons with stock compression ratio throwing down 245+whp and IPS is arguably the best cams and the 'holy grail' for N/A K's. And sure B's and K's have alot in common, but the biggest difference is the ability to get so much more N/A power out of a K for alot less money.

Here's a dynograph (stock c/r) with Skunk2 Stg2's as an example. It is a bit confusing because it says flywheel hp and torque but it's actually SAE corrected;

Keep in mind it was tuned by Church, not sure how our local midwest tuners compare to him.

Hondata K-Pro cannot change your compression ratios, a few things that can; different pistons, valves, thinner headgasket...

where the hell did u get the idea that your computer can raise your compression ratio??? the only way to raise your C/R is 1) new pistons, 2) new rods, 3) head milled, 4) smaller head gasket.... all internals!

TURBO FTMFW!!!!

edit: ha ha jessi, u beat me to it!

so i just need to sell the gsr and dump some money into a n/a rsx, cause it would be difficult to (near impossible) to get that out of a n/a b series w/o touching the bottom end, YOU GUYS SUCK!!!!!
