Just curious if I really need to retune my car. I'm guessing so since the IAB is gone now. Here's what's done:

B18C (P72)
DC 4-2-1 1 piece
2.25" exhaust
Password JDM whale dong
S2 Pro Series intake manifold

That's it engine wise. Would a retune make this thing come alive or not? Pulls like crazy from 6k to 8500 for a nearly stock engine.

why would you need a tune? now if you had some cams, upgraded pistons, valve train, then yeah i could understand if you wanted a small street tune but for what you have now there is no need unless you want to waste you money.

lol, Dale. Just figured I'd check to see. Wasn't sure if not having the IAB anymore would lean the fuel curve below their opening point. Car feels fairly strong for now but I'm sure I"ll be used to it in 10 or 15 minutes....

On my B18c1 I had essentially the same mods as yours. It was previously tuned on uberdata, and I had it tuned with neptune rtp by superdave. After the tune I had a very noticeable difference. The mid range prior to the rtp tune was terrible. Afterwards it was extremely flat, and it gained a large amount in that range +10-15hp. Prior to the tune it was also falling flat on its face, so that was also fixed.

Cool. Thanks for the update. I got a stock ITR ECU and it definitely pulls better on the big end. Seems about the same down low but smoother. It will have to do until.... .....Well until I hopefully pick up this B18C5 to put in the car in the next couple days.

Well, would have but I think he's re thinking his position on it. I think maybe he's figuring out what it takes to do the swap. This isn't just the old B swap...
